Elon Musk reveals first GOP vote helped flip a blue district to red, dealing tough loss to Democrats

Republican Texas Congresswoman-elect Mayra Flores declared that she was thankful to learn that billionaire Elon Musk had cast his vote for her in the special election this week, the first time the Tesla founder has ever endorsed a GOP candidate.
Musk has been vocal about his ongoing frustrations with the left on a number of political issues, including free speech.
“I voted for Mayra Flores – first time I ever voted Republican. Massive red wave in 2022,” Musk tweeted on Tuesday as the Republican Flores flipped a blue district.
Flores acknowledged Musk’s endorsement with gratitude, but also praised what the business mogul has done to support the state of Texas and local communities.
“It’s not just about me, it’s about the people here in Texas District 34 that deserve prosperity in this area,” Flores told “Fox & Friends.”
“We’ve been taken for granted for a long time. Unfortunately, the Democrat Party feels entitled to our vote. And I don’t care what side you’re on, you must earn the vote of the people that elect you to be in that position.”
On June 14, Flores emerged victorious in the race for the historically blue Texas District 34. Her victory also marks the first Mexican-born woman to serve in Congress.
The family of Mayra Flores came to the United States when she was just six years old and she has relatives still living in Mexico. She shared her family’s excitement about her success.
“My father and my mother have been the most supportive parents. I wouldn’t be here without them,” she said.
Flores will be completing the term of Representative Vela before the November midterm elections where she will be facing the Democrat Representative from Texas, Vicente Gonzalez, who currently serves Texas’ 15th District.
Among the top issues for Flores is the southern border. As someone who lives in Texas and is married to a Border Patrol agent, she stressed the need to protect legal immigration and provide immigrants like her family with the best possible experience.
“I want more children like myself to have that experience,” Flores said about her move to the U.S. “I had an amazing experience coming here to the United States, and it shouldn’t be a rare experience.”
Elon Musk announced he will vote Republican last month and has kept his word so far.
Elon Musk, who’s about to be the owner of Twitter if the $44billion deal goes through depending on how many fake users there are, and if he gets a discount for the number of bots being too high – just said that he’s finally going to vote for Republicans because the Democratic Party has become too hateful and divides people – and it only took a handful of tweets for Elon to be proven right.

Here’s what Elon Musk said: “In the past I voted Democrat, because they were (mostly) the kindness party. But they have become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican. Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold …
In a second tweet, after the far-left sent hateful messages to him: “Judging by the relentless hatestream from the far left, this tweet was spot on.”
