Democrat Congresswoman carjacked by five teenagers in Democrat city soft on crime

Five suspects were arrested by the police in connection with the carjacking of Democratic Pennsylvania Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon.

Reportedly, Scanlon was forced out of her car at gunpoint in FDR Park in Democrat-run Philadelphia, and the alleged robbers took several items, like government cell phones.

A few hours after it was stolen, the blue Acura Scanlon was tracked and found five individuals inside the car, according to Delaware State Police.

CBS reported: “The FBI charged Josiah Brown, 19, with carjacking and the use of a firearm in the carjacking. Police identified the juvenile suspects as a 14-year-old female and three male juveniles, aged 13, 15, and 16.”

All suspects reportedly tried to run away when the police came.

Scanlon was not physically harmed and she thanked police agencies for working so fast to help solve the case, according to Scanlon’s office.

“It’s disheartening, and quite frankly infuriating, that criminals feel emboldened to commit such a reckless crime in the middle of the day in what should be a place of tranquility and peace-one of Philadelphia’s beautiful parks,” Jim Kinney, Philadelphia’s Democratic Mayor condemned the incident in a statement.

“Armed robberies are among the most serious crimes because of the danger they pose to victims and the fear they instill in communities. My office is ready to vigorously pursue accountability when these individuals are located by police and taken into custody,” Larry Krasner, Philadelphia District Attorney said in a statement.

Philadelphia has seen an 80% increase in carjackings in 2021 compared to 2020, according to the police. Krasner is criticized as being soft on crime.
