A home intruder clearly picked the wrong house to commit a crime when he broke into a pro wrestler’s home. That wrestler, ‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan, easily took care of business and what he did to the much younger man will leave him doomed for ages.

The intruder, a guy in his mid-20’s, went right into Duggan’s front door. Duggan, 68, lives there with his wife, so now the intruder not only broke into a man’s home, he broke into the home of a former pro wrestler who was there with his wife, so clearly Duggan had to do the intruder dirty and protect his home and lady.
Duggan sprung into action, much like his younger days in the pro wrestling circuit, but this time his weapon of choice wasn’t a 2×4 like the old days – it was a .44 caliber pistol! Duggan dropped the man like a bad habit and got the man right where he wanted him, detaining the home intruder at gun point until the police arrived.
The story almost took another turn for worse when Duggan reportedly heard some noises outside and acted quickly as a precaution, according to the NY Post:
The 68-year-old told the wrestling news outlet that a man in his mid-20s entered through his and wife Debra’s front door. Duggan said he took the man down by himself and grabbed his .44 caliber pistol and held the man at gunpoint. The retired wrestler added that he heard more people outside and thought there could be more trouble, so he turned off his Christmas lights and told the man to keep silent.
Duggan said the man he held at gunpoint appeared to be frightened and thought the people in the neighborhood were coming to kill him. Duggan said he called the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Department to help take care of the matter.
Duggan allowed the police to do their job as needed. The wrestler was quoted saying the following: “We would like to thank the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Department for their prompt and professional response last week. A man who we had never seen before climbed out fence, ran through our yard to our front door, and was pounding on our glass doors… Before we could get to the door, he opened it and fell into our house. I held him at gunpoint while Debra called 911. We are safe with no damage.”
Who is Hacksaw Jim Duggan? He was the first United States heavyweight wrestling champion for the World Championship Wrestling. He was also the very first winner of the Royal Rumble back in 1988, an era where some of the most legendary wrestlers became super stars, even to this day!
The Royal Rumble is a pay-per-view event that puts about 30 wrestlers against each other and they get eliminated if they’re thrown out of the ring. The next Royal Rumble is January 28, 2023. Duggan may not be participating, but he might be watching like many of us! Nothing like some old school wrestling, drama, and entertainment for the win!
