Former President Donald Trump posted a new message on his personal blog that both taunts a “bombshell” development and hints at a “major Michigan election fraud case” that targets Democrats and “fake news media” as reported by Newsweek.
The Trump desk message stated, specifically:
The major Michigan Election Fraud case has just filed a bombshell pleading claiming votes were intentionally switched from President Trump to Joe Biden. The number of votes is MASSIVE and determinative. This will prove true in numerous other States. All Republicans must UNIFY and not let this happen. If a thief robs a jewelry store of all of its diamonds (the 2020 Presidential Election), the diamonds must be returned. The Fake News media refuses to cover the greatest Election Fraud in the history of our Country. They have lost all credibility, but ultimately, they will have no choice!
Trump believes this case could turn Michigan votes to him, taking them away from now President Joe Biden. Trump’s message implies that votes he gained were “intentionally switched” from Trump to Biden.
Trump then compares his election fraud claim to a thief robbing a jewelry store, saying that if someone stole diamonds and got caught, then the diamonds would have to be returned to the store – implying that Democrats are like thieves and he’s like a jewelry store that got robbed.
Trump further claims that if his claims are true, that this could be the “greatest election fraud in the history” of America.
Trump is not very specific on any details in his short blog post, but Newsweek reported that a current election lawsuit is in process in Antrim County.
The claim, filed by Antrim County resident William Bailey, alleged that there are more than 1,000 “phantom ballots” that were not included in the Michigan secretary of state’s database.
According to court filing, there were 15,962 ballots counted in December, but only 14,901 votes shown, meaning “they do not exist on the voter rolls.”
However, the claim, which is likely to be thrown out along with all the other suits disputing the election results, will not make a difference even if proven correct.
According to certified results, Trump won 9,748 of the votes in Antrim County, compared to 5,960 for Biden. Even if the so-called “phantom ballots” were found and counted, they wouldn’t even affect the overall results.
Biden won the state of Michigan and its 16 Electoral Votes by more than 154,000 votes, or 3 percentage points, in November. More than six months later, there still has not been any evidence of widespread voter fraud that would alter the outcome.
What Newsweek doesn’t state is this: if the votes were overturned, but not enough to give Trump the state of Michigan – the bigger picture is that actual fraud might have been revealed and that could open a can of worms for other states to investigate or for Trump to consider the same type of lawsuits.
Of course, this will all come in due time as lawsuits pan out and election fraud is either proven or not proven. It’s essentially Trump’s word against the Democrats.
If there’s one thing Americans need right now, it’s truth and a fortified election process that cannot be cheated in any way.
If we can fly a helicopter on Mars, then figuring out a foolproof election should be a little bit easier.
