President Donald Trump has neither conceded nor given up the fight for his reelection. His campaign has filed an appeal with the US Supreme Court in hopes to reverse the ruling on several cases heard by the PA Supreme Court. These were related to changing the mail ballot laws in PA for election of 2020, and those before and after.

Trump’s campaign accuses the PA State Supreme Court’s “changing of the law was a violation of Article II of the U.S. Constitution and Bush v. Gore.”

His campaign wants the US Supreme Court to reverse the decisions made by the PA Supreme Court and change the “state’s mail ballot law before and after the 2020 presidential election.

As stated on Fox News:

The petition cites a “related Pennsylvania case” where Justice Samuel Alito and two other justices observed the constitutionality of the state court’s decision to extend the statutory deadline for receipt of mail ballots from 8 p.m. on Election Day to 5 p.m. three days later.

The campaign team said the constitutionality of the court’s decision had “national importance” and may violate the U.S. Constitution.

What happens if the Supreme Court takes on Trump’s latest challenge? According to Fox News, there is no guarantee that anything will change with the results of the election, with particular regards to the Electoral College.

The Trump campaign’s petition to the Supreme Court asks for an expedited review and reply by Thursday, giving it enough time before Congress meets in January to “consider the votes of the Electoral College.”

Should the U.S. Supreme Court take up the Trump campaign’s case against Pennsylvania, it’s not a given that it would fundamentally impact the certification of the Electoral College in Congress.

The president has brought forth a multitude of lawsuits to challenge the results of the election, but has not been successful yet. Trump has stated the fight is not over and appears to be going full force to further his fight to win the 2020 election.

Trump has not yet conceded and his Twitter posts constantly have a warning about misleading or misinformation when he speaks about the election and claims it was rigged or stolen, making huge claims of voter fraud.

The Electoral College made it’s votes and formalized Joe Biden as the president-elect.

However, Trump will continue to fight this until the end and exhaust as many efforts and attempts as he and his legal team can.
