This should anger every single parent on the planet.
An angry mom in Las Vegas reported that a substitute teacher was pulling students to the front of the class and taping masks on their face. The mom demands a resignation and for the sub to never step foot in a classroom again.
The mom says this happened in her son’s fourth grade class in a Clark County School District, at Reedom Elementary School in Mountain’s Edge.
The mom claims the whole class was laughing when the substitute teacher did this.

So what happened? Apparently the boy went for a drink of water, forgot to put the mask back on, and the teacher got him in front of the class to tape the mask across his face, per report on Fox 5 Las Vegas:
The mom said the sub added a second layer of tape from his nose to his forehead, and with the tape still on his face, he went to the office to pick up homework he’d forgotten at home and his dad dropped off.
“When he went to the office to pick up that homework is when one of the administrators noticed the tape on his face,” she said.
Alarmed, that administrator took the tape off the child and alerted the principal who went to the classroom to investigate, she claimed..
It doesn’t stop there. The mom says there was more students having this happen to them, thanks to the bizarre substitute who thinks they can just do whatever they want instead of simply asking the student nicely.
“She saw another student who she thought was my son with tape on their face as well,” the mom said.
The mom said she later asked her son if other students also had their masks taped to their face and he told her yes. It had been happening in his classroom since the beginning of the school year, he said.
“He says that he remembers up to five,” the mom said.
Oh this is not going to look good on that substitute teacher’s resume, that’s for sure. And it also reminds us that in many schools, the quality of substitute is so very low. In Philly and Camden districts, the substitute teachers are basically anyone with a pulse. Some of them don’t even shower, and we’ve seen some of them get caught stealing the electronics from the classrooms – like tablets and things like that.
The mom says this is nothing political, but more that she doesn’t want her student or others treated like this in a school setting.
The student’s mom said what happened is not a political issue, she has no problem with the mask mandate, but said 9-year-olds like her son are often forgetful and should never be punished in this way.
“He was very upset. He was crying. He was humiliated,” the mom said.
Kids are mean enough. I guess we don’t need substitute teachers taping things to their faces and humiliating them even more.
A simple conversation with the student would have worked, and if it didn’t then the student has no respect for you whatsoever.
Sure, some kids are bad and defiant, but even the defiant ones listen to the good teachers.
Maybe being a substitute ain’t right for this person.
If it was my kid, I’d be mad too. No one touches my kid.
