Rules for thee, but nor for me seems to be wildly popular among elitist Democrats.
This is San Fran Mayor London Breed defending her actions after video was posted of her partying at a club with no mask, even posing for photographs maskless, despite the strict mandate San Francisco has in place about being masked up indoors.
WATCH HER DEFIANT RESPONSE:
Keep in mind, she’s basically violating her own ordinance if she’s not “actively” eating or drinking. And if she’s standing up dancing, then how is she eating or drinking if her food and drink are on the table? Right?
Also keep in mind that her own ordinance is super strict. It says people must wear masks indoors no matter their vax status – unless they’re ACTIVELY eating or drinking. I think actively means you’re taking bites or sips, but if the food is on the table and you’re up dancing, that shouldn’t be considered actively eating, right?
Democrat London Breed said:
“My drink was sitting at the table. I got up and started dancing because I was feeling the spirit and I wasn’t thinking about a mask. I was thinking about having a good time and in the process I was following the health orders…. [we] don’t need the fun police to come in and micromanage and tell us what we should or shouldn’t be doing.”
The mandate in San Fran is briefly described on SF Chronicle, who also pointed out Breed was taking photos without a mask as well:
Most patrons inside the subterranean venue, which serves food and drinks, did not wear a mask as mandated by the city of San Francisco. According to the citywide mandate Breed announced in August, the health department requires that everyone wear a well-fitted mask in indoor public buildings even if they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, except while actively eating or drinking.
Breed — who had a table of drinks in front of her and was often holding one — spent the night dancing, singing along and posing for photographs without a face covering.
So that’s cool. She can just go to a night club and order food and sit it on the table, then hang out and party – while most of the time she is NOT eating? So if you’re dancing in front of your food and not actively eating, then you’re mask should be on according to the mandates, right?
And taking photos without a mask while she’s in close proximity of other people? That sounds like a violation for sure.
But this isn’t the first time the lousy Democrat mayor was criticized for her actions. SF Chronicle further stated:
Breed was criticized earlier in the pandemic for dining at the French Laundry in Napa as part of a party of eight when the state’s rules “strongly discouraged” social gatherings and capped them at three households. While she didn’t technically violate the state rules, the dinner was at odds with San Francisco’s stricter directive at the time. Breed’s dinner came just a night after Gov. Gavin Newsom’s own ill-advised French Laundry dinner.
Way to go, London Breed. You’re really proving why more people should stop voting for Democrats.
