A stunning report from Rich Noyes of NewsBusters shows that approximately 95% of American adults did not watch the second day of Trump’s impeachment hearing on television. In fact, the report also makes comparisons to previous so-called popular hearings, such as Brett Kavanaugh, OJ Simpson, and even some soap operas who scored better television ratings.

Noyes stated that “Friday’s second day of live, wall-to-wall coverage drew an average of 12.7 million viewers on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC and the Fox News Channel combined.” His article showed Day 1 of impeachment hearings getting only 13.1 million viewers.

Here’s the fun statistics.

OJ Simpson’s verdict had 150 million viewers in 1995.

James Comey drew 19.5 million viewers in 2017 when he gave testimony

Brett Kavanaugh had about 20 million viewers in 2018.

NBC’s 1.7 million viewers on Day 1 was significantly less than the average audience for the soap opera Days of Our Lives (2.12 million for the 2018-19 season)

Long story short – the American people just don’t seem interested in Trump impeachment hearings, which could lead you to speculate that most Americans do not want him impeached at all.

When the President of the United States faces impeachment and more people would rather watch Days of Our Lives on a network, then that’s not a very good sign that people are interested.

Noyes continues his report using data from the Census Bureau.

Here's some stupid ads. I don't care if you click on them or not. They're probably bullsh-t anyway.

He said:

Drawing on July 2018 data from the Census Bureau, there are an estimated 254 million persons over the age of 18 in the U.S. (77.6% of the estimated population of 327 million).

That suggests 95 percent (about 241.3 million) were doing something else on Friday besides watching these hearings.

So what does that tell us? Well, maybe the Republicans are right after all. This very well may be a clown car circus sham of an impeachment and Democrats have gone too far left and people have lost interest in them.
