Sen. Rand Paul starts off by reminding Dr. Fauci that it’s a crime to lie to Congress.
Rand Paul and Dr. Fauci then get into a heated argument and both accuse each other of lying during a Senate Health Committee hearing today.
Since this is science/health-based topic, I am staying out of the conversation 100% on that aspect.
But when it comes to two guys pointing the finger at each other, we have to wonder what the point of this conversation even is.
Why are Rand Paul and Dr. Fauci still talking about this instead of moving on and figuring out what to do next that is best for all Americans?
Does anyone think Dr. Fauci, if he did tell lies, would actually face some sort of punishment? I doubt it – Fauci is probably heavily protected in regards to the government and he’s standing his ground – just like Rand Paul is standing his ground too.
Fauci tells Rand Paul “I have never lied” and “I do not retract my statement.”
So they’re just arguing over what is and is not gain of function research and this point.
Fauci tells Rand Paul, officially “you do not know what you’re talking about.”
In my opinion, these guys are having the dumbest conversation on the planet and this Senate Health Committee hearing is just wasting our darn time!
Get something done guys, stop arguing in a hearing when you could be out in the real world solving problems.
Anyone sick and tired of hearing these guys argue?
