Sen. Rand Paul is calling for an FBI investigation and arrested into the “mob” who swarmed him and his wife when they left the White House after Trump’s speech during Thursday night’s RNC event.

Paul thinks the protesters might have killed or injured them if the police weren’t there.

He said “it was horrific” in a chat with Steve Doocy of “Fox & Friends.” Lets not forget that Rand Paul suffered an attack back in 2017 when his neighbor went off, so Rand Paul might be a little more throttled by this interaction with protesters than many others. It’s also not clear why he was walking in the first place and many might suggest he should’ve been in a vehicle. But of course, we should be able to walk the streets without being threatened.

Paul said,  “they’re attempting to push the police over to get to me, so at one point they push a policeman backwards, he stumbles and he’s trying to catch his balance and I catch the back of his flak jacket to stabilize him to make sure he’s OK because he’s our defense. If he’s down, the mob’s loose on us.”

Paul continued, saying “I truly believe this with every fiber of my being, had they gotten at us they would have gotten us to the ground, we might not have been killed, might just have been injured by being kicked in the head, or kicked in the stomach until we were senseless.”

He kept going, adding references to previous incidents in which protesters have caused harm.

“You’ve seen the pictures of what they do to you. If the police are not there, if you defund the police, if we become Portland, if America becomes Portland, what’s going to happen is people are going to be pummeled and kicked in the head and left senseless on the curb… That would have happened to us, I promise you, had we not had the D.C. Police to support us, we are thankful we have police, and we’ve got to wake up. We can’t have the whole country, we can’t have Joe Biden rule the country and have no police. I mean, we can’t walk down the street in D.C. safely now. That’s how bad it is.”

Rand Paul and wife swarmed by protesters screaming ‘Say Her Name’ at Trending Views

Here's some stupid ads. I don't care if you click on them or not. They're probably bullsh-t anyway.

The most senseless part of Rand Paul’s story is this. He said he helped write, or wrote, at least 22 criminal justice reforms alongside former President Barack Obama and current President Trump. However, some of the protesters were still saying things like “we’re not going to let you go alive unless you’ll say you’re for criminal justice reform.”

Do the protesters even know anything about Rand Paul? Do they know anything at all?

President Trump signed the First Step Act back in 2018, one of the biggest reforms related to criminal justice and getting people reformed and back into society as functional adults who get out of jail and have nothing to fall back on except more crime.

Americans DO support criminal justice reform. Republicans and Democrats both supported the First Step Act overwhelmingly. So why are these protesters demanding that politicians support criminal justice reform when they supported it two years ago?

Why are they yelling about criminal justice reform to a Senator who has been on their side for reform already?

It makes no sense.
