A nurse manager fainted during a livestream broadcast of her taking the new coronavirus vaccine. Her name is Tiffany Dover from CHI Memorial and she spoke about what happened and explained that she has a condition that contributed to her fainting.
Dover said, “It just hit me all of the sudden, I could feel it coming on. I felt a little disoriented but I feel fine now, and the pain in my arm is gone.”
She was able to recover shortly after passing out and was back on camera. According to News Channel 9, “the doctors there at CHI Memorial said this is not related to the ingredients in the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.”
According to the CDC, fainting can happen after many types of vaccinations and medical procedures. The CDC says although fainting has a variety of possible causes, it is usually triggered by pain or anxiety.
Dover also told us she has a condition where she often faints when she feels pain, so this wasn’t a surprise to her that it happened. Stephanie LaChance spoke with her about the experience
Why did they put someone in front of the camera who has a condition that makes her pass out? That’s not a good look for the public and people may be skeptical of the vaccine they see someone faint like this.
At least someone was there to catch her.
