Why do we have to ruin everything?
I’m just seeing this now and still can’t process why they’re doing this.
And why are they even calling this Cinderalla when it basically isn’t?
What was wrong with Cinderella that they need to make a mediocre woke musical version because they’re bored and ran out of original ideas?
Can’t we just leave things alone? And if we’re out of ideas, then we just take a break and play some reruns? Do we always have to screw things up with terrible remakes?
You remember what happened to Ghostbusters when Leslie Jones and a bunch of whomevers tried to do it, right? It was like the worst movie on the planet.
Now we have this which is right on par – and I can’t even finish the trailer without wanting to puke because they replaced the Fairy Godmother with a fairy god man and that just ruins it entirely because the Fairy Godmother was something special.
Here’s the description of the trailer:
Cinderella is a musically-driven bold new take on the traditional story you grew up with. Our heroine (Cabello) is an ambitious young woman whose dreams are bigger than the world will allow, but with the help of her Fab G (Billy Porter), she is able to persevere and make her dreams come true.
Written for the screen and directed by Kay Cannon with covers of songs written by some of the top-selling musical artists of all time, Cinderella has an all-star cast that includes Idina Menzel, Minnie Driver, Nicholas Galitzine, with Billy Porter and Pierce Brosnan. Producers are James Corden, Leo Pearlman, Jonathan Kadin and Shannon McIntosh, and executive producers are Louise Rosner and Josephine Rose.
This is not a bold new take. This is the bottom of the barrel take and I can’t believe cool people like Camila Cabello took this nonsense role. Even worse, Pierce Bronsan? What are you thinking, dude? Idina Menzel – you’re Elsa, you can’t be doing this garbage.
Produced by James Corden, well that explains how bad it is.
Too bad Amazon Prime doesn’t let you rate movies like Netflix does, because I don’t see how this one makes it longer than three days before someone is like, OK folks, we screwed up. No one likes it except maybe three people.
Stop ruining classic movies with pathetic woke nonsense and just make something new.
