Attorney General Bill Barr has made one of his final appearances before he resigns. During this appearance, he stated that he sees no reason to appoint a special counsel to manage or investigate inquiries on Hunter Biden and his finance, tax, or other allegations.

Barr also handed President Trump a major loss by not appointing a special counsel to dig into possible election fraud. Neither of these decisions will sit well with Trump’s fans and Bill Barr has already been called MIA since the election, as people on social media were asking “Where’s Bill Barr” because it seemed like he wasn’t doing anything about anything.

The soon-to-be former attorney general made his remarks when addressing something else and people had started to ask questions, as reported by Yahoo News:

In the course of breaking with Trump on matters that have been consuming the president, Barr also reinforced the belief of federal officials that Russia was behind a massive hack of U.S. government agencies, not China as Trump had suggested.

Barr made the comments at a press conference to announce additional criminal charges in the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103, which killed 190 Americans, an issue he had worked on in his previous stint as attorney general in the early 1990s. He chose the announcement, in a case very personal and important to him, for his last public appearance, then took questions.

Barr said the Justice Department’s existing investigation into Hunter Biden’s financial dealings was “being handled responsibly and professionally.”

“I have not seen a reason to appoint a special counsel and I have no plan to do so before I leave,” he said. Nor for election fraud, he said.

During most of Trump’s four years in the White House, he and Bill Barr seemed to have a good working relationship. It wasn’t until the 2020 election when Bill Barr seemed to have fallen off the map and people wondered what happened with him.

Trump at some point was not happy with Barr when it was revealed that Hunter Biden was being investigated about two years ago and Barr didn’t formally announce the existence of that investigation.

To make matter worse for the president, Bill Barr also spoke with the Associated Press to inform them he saw “no evidence of widespread voting fraud, despite Trump’s claims to the contrary. Trump has continued to push baseless claims even after the Electoral College made Biden’s victory formal Dec. 14.”

It’s safe to say that Bill Barr and President Donald Trump may not be on speaking terms.

Joe Biden is set to be inaugurated in January and it’s unclear if Hunter Biden will be in attendance.

Social media might erupt like a volcano if Hunter Biden shows up to the inauguration.
