Democrat Governor Andrew Cuomo is turning into a Karen after he threatens an investigation when a recent concert shows lack of social distancing. Never mind the mass amount of protests and criminal looting that went on in NYC, or the fact he’s known for the nursing home disaster – but this Democrat sure has a lot to say about a concert that was designed as a drive-in show, but ended up with people getting out of the cars and congregating in the pit area.

Cuomo posted on Twitter that “Videos from a concert held in Southampton on Saturday show egregious social distancing violations. I am appalled. The Department of Health will conduct an investigation. We have no tolerance for the illegal & reckless endangerment of public health.

Page Six reported that:

The Water Mill charity drive-in show on Saturday had drive-in parking spots that reportedly went for up to $25,000 a pop, and featured a performance by DJ duo The Chainsmokers, as well as opening acts including Southampton’s Town Supervisor Jay Schneiderman’s band and Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon (a k a DJ D-Sol). The event was meant to have “safe zones” for cars with up to six people. But viral social media posts seemed to show gaggles of fans leaving their cars and gathering in front of the stage without masks.

Yes, because when people are outside with friends or family, they don’t feel like wearing the mask. Kinda like half the people you see at the protests.

The report continued, saying that:

State health commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker on Monday sent a letter to Schneiderman seen by Page Six which said: “I am greatly disturbed by reports concerning the ‘drive-in’ concert held in your town this past weekend, which apparently involved thousands of people in close proximity, out of their vehicles, a VIP area where there was no pretense of a vehicle, and generally not adhering to social distancing guidance.” The letter further fumed, “I am at a loss as to how the Town of Southampton could have issued a permit for such an event, how they believed it was legal and not an obvious public health threat.”

Has this man said anything about the thousands of people protesting during a pandemic and how they could be responsible for much bigger spikes than one concert where a large portion of the people stayed by their car?

Take a look at Oregon’s stats while they protest in Portland. Oregon as a state is seeing dramatic spikes in the coronavirus and it’s most likely because of the protesters in Portland. Stats via Google search reveal the following:

If all these politicians and people who are supposed to be leaders are going to condemn a little crowd at a concert, then why don’t they start shaming the protesters too?

Here's some stupid ads. I don't care if you click on them or not. They're probably bullsh-t anyway.

Protesting is protected by the constitution, but that doesn’t mean we should be doing it during a pandemic. And if community leaders and politicians are going to be all “Karen” about it when someone steps in the pit area of a concert, then they darn well better yell at the protesters too.

You know and see for a fact that protesters are not social distancing. They’re outside in the heat, in these full body outfits, sweating like crazy, spreading all sorts of germs around town, and we have no idea who does or does not have it. Hopefully none of them do, but it’s pretty much impossible to tell.

At this rate, I am sick of hearing these lame people yelling at everyone else about their habits but refusing to throw equal shade at protesters.

If Cuomo is gonna talk trash to people at a concert, then start yelling at the protesters too. Otherwise, Andrew “Karen” Cuomo needs to shut up.
