UPDATE: NYPD says there is ‘no criminality’ by Shake Shack employees after three police officers fall ill.

An investigation was done and no foul play was found.

Several NYPD officers were allegedly poisoned with a "toxic substance" while they were working at a protest detail. The officers were drinking a beverage from a Manhattan Shake Shack and it's believed the potential poison was slipped into their drinks at the location, but no suspect has been identified nor foul play identified either. This is merely speculation as they conduct investigations.

The officers who drank the beverages were hospitalized, but expected to recover according to Pat Lynch, the PBA President. The suspected toxic substance, as of now, is thought to be bleach. (Pix11)

Lynch made a statement saying that "all PBA members are advised to carefully inspect any prepared food item they purchase while on duty for possible contamination," and for people to "take meals in groups of two or more, and remain vigilant for the duration of the meal period."
