Sen. Rand Paul was discussing former President Trump's upcoming second impeachment trial, calling it a "partisan farce" and suggested that Chuck Schumer be impeached "if we're going to criminalize speech."

WATCH Rand Paul scold Chuck Schumer and call for his impeachment:

The Kentucky Senator, who's been quite vocal in the news lately, stated the following, with quote provided by Fox News:

If we're going to criminalize speech, and somehow impeach everybody who says, 'Go fight to hear your voices heard,' I mean really we ought to impeach Chuck Schumer then... He went to the Supreme Court, stood in front of the Supreme Court and said specifically, 'Hey Gorsuch, Hey Kavanaugh, you've unleashed a whirlwind. And you're going to pay the price.' This inflammatory wording, this violent rhetoric of Chuck Schumer was so bad that the chief justice, who rarely says anything publicly, immediately said this kind of language is dangerous as a mob tried to invade the Supreme Court.

Rand Paul also claims there is a "zero" chance that former President Donald Trump is convicted by the Senate during the second historic impeachment trial he's facing.

If Trump is not convicted by the Senate, then it opens the doors for him to run for president again in 2024.
