White House press secretary Jen Psaki is asked about Hunter Biden reportedly owning a 10% stake in a Chinese investment firm. Psaki tells the reporter that Hunter Biden is working to "unwind" his investments. Psaki also suggests that Hunter Biden is a private citizen and for the reporter to get further information from him or his lawyers.

Reports suggest that Hunter Biden still owns stake in the firm. It also suggested that President Joe Biden has suggested that no one will sit on meetings as a Cabinet member if they have a business relationship with a foreign corporation or country, as stated in the Washington Examiner:

Hunter Biden still holds a stake in a Chinese private equity firm despite reports last month that he was in the process of divesting from the company.

Business records show that Biden holds a 10% stake in BHR Partners through his company, Skaneateles LLC.

Multiple news outlets reported in late December that Biden was “in the process” of divesting his share in the company.

BHR manages over $2 billion in assets and is co-owned by the Bank Of China, which is controlled by the Chinese government.

"No one in my family will have an office in the White House, will sit in on meetings as if they are a Cabinet member, will, in fact, have any business relationship with anyone that relates to a foreign corporation or a foreign country. Period. Period. End of story," President Biden said during a campaign event in Iowa last year.

It is technically unclear what Hunter Biden is actually doing with his business relationships until a confirmed report is released that he is cleared of any foreign investments or business dealings.

Politifact published an article trying to sort through the "murky business deal" last May.

Meanwhile, Hunter Biden has a book coming out that has already received praise from horror novelist Stephen King.
