President Joe Biden is taking some heat after being called out publicly by a popular CNN anchor. It was CNN's Jake Tapper who posted the following message on Twitter, calling out the president for "lies."

Tapper said, "Standards that are not upheld are not standards. They’re lies." Tapper's message about President Biden goes back to when Biden threatened to fire any staffer who is not nice to colleagues. More specifically, Biden said he would fire them "on the spot."

Before we dive into exactly why Biden is accused of "lies" by Tapper, let's show you Biden's video of exactly what he said about staffers being nice to each other.

WATCH Biden's statement:

"I’m not joking when I say this: If you’re ever working with me and I hear you treat another colleague with disrespect, talk down to someone, I promise you I will fire you on the spot. On the spot. No if, ands, or buts."

Fast forward to this week and one of Biden's staffers was not very nice to someone else, but they were not fired, just suspended, despite Biden saying he would fire them ON THE SPOT.

It was TJ Ducklo, a Biden aide, who is accused of trying to kill a Politico story about his relationship with an Axios writer. Ducklo is accused of making threats and misogynistic comments towards the writer, according to Market Watch.

Here's what happened:

Ducklo is dating Axios reporter Alexi McCammond, who has covered the Biden campaign. In fact, People profiled the couple in a sympathetic story posted Monday, detailing how their “romance bloomed” in the fall, and the pair told their superiors about their relationship in November. What’s more, Ducklo said he was “absolutely not” a source for McCammond while they have been dating. And a White House source told the publication that their relationship was “the worst-kept secret in Washington.”

But before the People piece hit, Politico’s Playbook had been investigating the relationship. Tara Palmeri reached out to McCammond for comment on Inauguration Day, in fact, while another Politico reporter reached out to Ducklo.

Ducklo called Palmeri back, however, and told her to drop the story or else “I will destroy you.” He also allegedly accused Palmeri of only taking on the assignment because she was “jealous” that some unidentified man in the past had “wanted to f—” McCammond, and not her.

Palmeri countered claims by telling Vanity Fair that this story had been assigned to her; she hadn’t pitched it. What’s more, Palmeri said that she had no prior relationship or communication with McCammond before calling her to report on this story.

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden and his wife Jill have revealed the loving and healing hearts around the White House.

Such much for healing and unity.
