Here comes the outrage! Republican Ted Cruz is getting slammed from all sides like a cheap trick off backpages after he was busted going on a "tropical vacation" while his state of Texas is frozen and millions are suffering without electricity.

Texas got slammed by a winter storm their power grid couldn't handle, because the people running it are morons, and Teddy Cruz was like "oh heck no, I'm gonna go get lit in Cancun."

And funny enough, anyone who could afford a plane ticket out of town could have done the same thing.

But in terms of political optics, this guy Ted Cruz is a real demon and he's like two red horns away from being Satan according to everyone on the Internet who hates him right now.

According to reports, Cruz went to Mexico and back in less than 24 hours because his kids wanted to take a trip. Uh, yeah, that sounds about as stupid as it gets. Who goes on a trip that short? I don't know, maybe a politician who gets called out by half the country. Ah yes, that's just it. Even the AP confirms it below that Cruz came back to America after being slammed by critics.

Here's Jesse Watters calling him out for going on a "tropical vacation," followed by tweets from people of all walks calling out the Texan traveler.

Meanwhile, CNN confirmed it. I know it's CNN, but it's still confirmed, so don't yell at me for using them as a source. The info is still correct.

Sen. Ted Cruz and his family flew to Cancun, Mexico, he confirmed in a statement to CNN, as a winter disaster in his home state left millions without power or water.
Cruz, a Texas Republican, said in the statement he flew down for a night because his daughters "asked to take a trip with friends."
Sen. Ted Cruz is seen boarding a flight Wednesday at Houston IAH airport bound for Cancun, Mexico.
"With school cancelled for the week, our girls asked to take a trip with friends. Wanting to be a good dad, I flew down with them last night and am flying back this afternoon," he said in the statement. "My staff and I are in constant communication with state and local leaders to get to the bottom of what happened in Texas. We want our power back, our water on, and our homes warm. My team and I will continue using all our resources to keep Texans informed and safe."

So anyway, I'm gonna run for Senator, and as soon as something happens, I'll just fly to Mexico and have some margs. Is that how this works?
