President Joe Biden delivered a statement yesterday talking about the incident at United States Capitol on last year's Jan 6 and slamming former President Donald Trump.

Biden referred to Trump as a "defeated former president" and made much of the statement about him, in a statement that many Americans felt was completely unnecessary to begin with. In fact, Trump later issued a response suggesting that Joe Biden was doing nothing more than putting on political theater.

Kamala Harris' statement about Jan 6 was even more theater, as she irresponsibly compared Jan 6 to Pearl Harbour and 9/11.

Here are some quotes from Biden's address:

"Let’s speak plainly about what happened in 2020... Even before the first ballot was cast, the former president was preemptively sowing doubt about the election results... He built his lie over months. It wasn’t based in any facts. He was just looking for an excuse, a pretext to cover for the truth.

He’s not just a former president. He’s a defeated former president... Defeated by a margin of over 7 million of your votes, and a full and free and fair election. There is simply zero proof the election results were inaccurate."

Joe Biden accused Trump of spinning a "web of lies" regarding the results of the 2020 election.

Trump's statement suggested that Democrats got away with something and it's destroying the country.

It appears that both sides of politics are as divided as they can get.

It also appears that even though Trump is no longer president, the Democrats have been talking about him all year. I think Trump still lives in their head rent free.
