Protesters have taken over Seattle city hall and now demand their own Democrat mayor, Jenny Durkan, to resign. The protesters, many of whom are likely Democrats as well, are saying that Mayor Durkan must resign if she does not support defunding police.

Durkan, who is progressive in politics, has not stated that she supports defunding police, but it's on the list of things to discuss for city council. However, her constituents are already calling for her to resign, despite being part of the Democratic Party, progressive, and supportive of many of their causes.

As for protesters in Seattle's city hall, most remained peaceful, but as protests sparked across America, we've seen many of them turn for the worse.

"The protesters continued to camp out in a self-declared “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone” (CHAZ)-- a region spanning six blocks and encompassing the precinct-- which has effectively been abandoned by law enforcement after the Seattle Police Department closed the East Precinct on Monday." (Fox News)

It was also reported that a socialist alternative party member and city council member, Kshama Sawant, used her key to City Hall and let the protesters in, also joining them in the protest.
