President Joe Biden talks about Texas and Mississippi opening up their states. He is speaking through his mask and he's a little bit hard to hear since it's all muffled up and sounds like he's just talking into a pillowcase with Dr. Jill Biden in the room.

Either way, Biden apparently says "the last thing we need is Neanderthal thinking" and now it's a big headline all over random media outlets.

WATCH Biden slam the governors for having "Neanderthal" thinking:

CNBC wrote it more eloquently:

President Joe Biden on Wednesday slammed states that repealed Covid-19 restrictions on businesses and rescinded mask mandates for residents, calling the moves a “big mistake.”
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves, both Republicans, announced Tuesday they would allow businesses to reopen at 100% capacity and lift mask mandates. Biden’s remarks were in response to shouted questions from the press specifically about the two states.

“Look, I hope everybody’s realized by now these masks make a difference,” Biden told reporters at the White House. “We are on the cusp of being able to fundamentally change the nature of this disease because of the way in which we’re able to get vaccines in people’s arms. ... The last thing, the last thing we need is Neanderthal thinking, that, ‘In the meantime, everything’s fine. Take off your mask. Forget it.’ It still matters.”

Mississippi Tate Reeves responded, basically saying his feelings are hurt and compares it to Hillary Clinton's "deplorables" comment.

WATCH Tate Reeves crying on the inside:

Tate wrote in a Tweet:

President Biden said allowing Mississippians to decide how to protect themselves is “neanderthal thinking.” Mississippians don’t need handlers. As numbers drop, they can assess their choices and listen to experts. I guess I just think we should trust Americans, not insult them.

Why is everyone so soft these days?

Come on, man. You really can't let some Biden comment about "Neanderthal thinking" get under your skin. It wasn't even a bad insult.

How are you a governor and acting like some cheap-shot comment from a president is hurting your feelings?

MAN UP, DUDE!!

What is there, like 12 people in Mississippi and they all voted for the guy who's feelings get hurt over a Biden comment?

If Biden is able to insult you, then resign and let someone else take over.

Either way, this is just more political drama for your mama!

Enjoy your night, folks!
