2020 has brought us an outbreak, massive hornets, and now we might see possibly historic snow in the month of May!

A snowstorm is traveling towards the northeast region of the country towards New England, reported Kathryn Prociv of NBC News.

The snow could hit on Friday as some icy Artic air slams into a storm. They're saying "a storm system moving into the Northeast will clash with bitter cold Arctic air courtesy of the polar vortex, bringing the potential for heavy, wet snow to the region. Heavy rain is possible along the I-95 corridor."

They expect maybe 6-8 inches in some locations, with New England seeing maybe 12 inches. In other surrounding areas, they might be swamped with some rain.

The report continued, listing the following locations as possible to experience some May snow: "Syracuse, Rochester, Binghamton, Albany in New York; Scranton, Pennsylvania; and Burlington, Vermont."

But wait!

There's more!

The wind might be flowing at speeds of 40mph in some locations as well.

Welcome to spring and have fun in the snow!
